From July 2 through October 2, 2026, four bronze sculptures by French artist Marine de Soos are on view in the gardens of Château de Cheverny, one of the Loire Valley’s finest and best-preserved 17th-century French estates. Presented by Artistics in partnership with Le Jardin des Amoureux, the exhibition brings contemporary sculpture into conversation with one of France’s most distinguished historic estates.

Set near the château’s historic outbuildings, L’Accueil (The Welcome), Grand Pousseur de Lune (Hoop Rolling), Grand Flûtiste (Flute Player, large), and Palabres unfold naturally along the visitor route. Rather than competing with their surroundings, the sculptures blend into the landscape, inviting moments of discovery and reflection as visitors explore the estate.
The exhibition is the second chapter in a partnership launched by Artistics and Le Jardin des Amoureux in 2026. The initiative was created with a simple ambition: to bring contemporary sculpture to audiences who may not typically visit galleries or museums by presenting artworks in exceptional cultural and heritage destinations. By integrating sculpture into places already celebrated for their history, architecture, or natural beauty, these exhibitions encourage new ways of experiencing both art and place. The first project featured sculptures by Yann Guillon at Golf Bluegreen Ploemeur Océan on France’s Brittany coast.
Cheverny is an especially fitting setting for this approach. Built in the early 17th century, Château de Cheverny is widely regarded as one of France’s finest examples of classical architecture. Its remarkably preserved interiors, formal gardens, and centuries of history attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Within this setting, Marine de Soos’s sculptures become quiet companions to the visit, inviting viewers to slow their pace and engage with the landscape through a contemporary artistic lens.
For more than twenty-five years, Marine de Soos has created sculptures inhabited by graceful, elongated figures inspired by memories of her travels and her childhood in Africa. Through simple, timeless gestures—welcoming, playing, listening, sharing—her works evoke experiences that resonate across cultures. There is nothing demonstrative about these sculptures. Their quiet presence encourages visitors to pause, look more closely, and discover the emotion that emerges from simplicity.
