Discover our international contemporary painters
“The painter must strive to be universal” wrote the great artist, Leonardo da Vinci. Through this assertion, the master intended among other things, to signify the need for the universality of painters’ productions. And for good reason: these artworks constitute an inestimable wealth for humanity. Long before we ever considered buying paintings, artists were the champions of their time. The oldest artistic testimonies of civilization are prehistoric in the form of cave paintings, that have crossed millennia.
Painting, a thriving medium in modern creativity!
The universality of painters’ artwork is primarily due to the fact that they are themselves the heritage of humanity. However, painters acquired full status from the Renaissance, and their works became the heritage of collectors, for whom the acquiring paintings had become a means of claiming power and fortune. Collecting paintings has carried on for centuries, giving rise to the creation of invaluable artworks, that have subsequently been added to public collections.
Artistics selected artists
The online contemporary art gallery, Artistics aims to attract new audiences to buy and collect works of art, which is an essential support to creation. If artists express the reality of the world in their own way, their own vision can embody universal intuitions that only they know how to express: buying a painting can therefore replace the spoken word, when words are unable to convey a vision.
Artistics represents around fifty carefully selected international artists. Whether they are painters, sculptors or photographers, the Artistics gallery artists are noted for their demonstrable excellent technical mastery, as well as the originality of their pieces. Whether figurative or abstract paintings, bronzes or clay sculptures… We hope that these artworks will make you want to embark on a fabulous adventure building a contemporary art collection!
Our contemporary painters
Reinventing the world by reproducing it or, on the contrary, by freeing themselves from the constraints of faithful depiction, is a talent of the painters we represent. Often boldly and always with passion, these artists use painting as a tool to open up new areas for contemporary creativity. Joachim Van der Vlugt pushes the boundaries between figurative and abstract by producing paintings where subjects, such as portraits and landscapes rub shoulders with mysterious geometric shapes, leading the viewer into a philosophical experience. Frédérique Domergue also takes a very personal journey in an artwork where metal is pitched against the rules of chemistry! Each artists’ profile has videos for you to find out about their techniques and creative ways, why not have a look before making your first purchase of a painting!
