Beauty in Ruins
It is our great pleasure to present the work of artist Gina Soden who we are very happy to welcome on board at Artistics.
With a fascination for ruins this young British photographer scours Europe in the search of constructions in a state of ruin: churches, palaces, castles, factories, hospitals… Respectful of their history, Gina Soden adopts a pictorialist’s approach to restore the former splendour to these desolated places. The colours are often vibrant, the light sometimes dazzling making the surrounding chaos seem somewhat appeased.
