Inspiration: Red Earth
The latest sculptures by Czech artist Pavlina Kvita emerge from a sustained reflection on red earth, conceived as an archaic material laden with memory, gesture and belief. Crafted in artificial stone, her works evoke a ritual sensibility: ambiguous objects, totem-like figures and hybrid forms that feel simultaneously unearthed from the past and projected into a speculative future.
This collection extends that inquiry. Here, red is less a color than a state of being — that of a world shaped by erosion, repeated gestures and the endurance of myth. The works brought together remind us that even at the heart of the most contemporary practices, an ancient impulse persists: the desire to give form to the invisible and to ground creation in a profound relationship with the earth, time and the human experience.
