MODIANO is a portrait painting by French contemporary artist Christophe Dupety. This is a portrait of the French man of letters and Nobel Prize winner in literature, Patrick Modiano. The writer’s portrait stands out against a green background. It is not precisely painted, but in the manner of a brush sketch whose brush stokes can still be seen.

In this series of portraits, the subject is placed in the centre of the composition, the eyes staring back at the spectator.
