Words in Art

Writing and drawing have long lived a close relationship. Nowadays artists do not think twice about incorporating letters in their works or translating writing into art. Calligraphy is the epitome of written art. Some artists transform this art into pure expressive pulsations. Others mix writing into their paintings, a poem that has a bearing on their pictorial representation. The typography itself becomes drawings and compositions which unravel the language just as one would take architecture to pieces to observe the components.
