In The Nude

The nude has undeniably played an essential role in the history of artistic creation. It constitutes the leitmotif of this week’s newsletter, from the very different angle of 4 of the gallery’s artists.

With his ‘Torsi’ series, German photographer Klaus Kampert turns nudity into an alphabet of an abstract language. Japanese artist Lumi Mizutani checks her nudes with paper weaving. Sculptor Walter Peter Brenner, on the other hand, celebrates the strength of the body as the expression of the soul’s virtues through his very athletic masculine nudes. Ferle’s expressionist bodies for their part seem to want to whisk us away in their stride…
