Round Corner is a ceramic sculpture by contemporary artist Tien Wen.

Her work is centered around the idea of abstraction and a quest for the purest forms. Angle and Round seem like antonyms at first, but the artist proves that for this work they are a perfect choice as curve and angle coexist gracefully.

Tien Wen plays on the form, combining curves and smooth surfaces, to deliver a piece of heightened aesthetic delight, the pure lines of which are matched by the purity of its coloring. Back from Japan where she just completed a new training residency, the artist was studying ancestral culture of ceramics and porcelain work. She has now created new plaster moulds which will fix the shape of the porcelain while inserting little ceramic leaves. This minimalist sculpture is the fruit of particularly delicate work.
