Christian Caujolle, fondateur et ancien directeur de l\u2019Agence Vu, commente : \u00ab <em>Cette saturation du motif sur des \u00e9l\u00e9ments architecturaux parle d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui. De conditions de vie, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9touffement, de conventions, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 noyer l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment fonctionnel dans sa seule forme r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9e, de surface et d\u2019apparences derri\u00e8re lesquelles vivent des gens, des familles, nos contemporains. <\/em>\u00bb Cette s\u00e9rie \u2018Urban Wallpapers\u2019\u00a0\u2014\u00a0v\u00e9ritable travail de m\u00e9moire sur des immeubles d\u00e9sormais d\u00e9truits\u00a0\u2014 est n\u00e9e d\u2019un hasard, d\u2019une opportunit\u00e9. Bruno Fontana a eu acc\u00e8s \u00e0 140 appartements\u00a0peu\u00a0avant la destruction de l\u2019\u00e9difice. L\u2019artiste s\u2019est ainsi impr\u00e9gn\u00e9 des lieux pendant cinq jours et il a notamment saisi les d\u00e9tails, les menus objets, r\u00e9v\u00e9lateurs de l\u2019intimit\u00e9 des anciens propri\u00e9taires.\r\n\r\nLe photographe contemporain Bruno Fontana explore les environnements urbains et les territoires. Il pousse le spectateur \u00e0 regarder les d\u00e9tails ordinaires, les \u00e9l\u00e9ments architecturaux et les paysages du quotidien. Chaque s\u00e9rie de photographies est une v\u00e9ritable invitation \u00e0 observer avec curiosit\u00e9 et \u00e0 laisser derri\u00e8re soi id\u00e9es re\u00e7ues, imaginaires et fantasmes. La figure humaine est absente du travail de l\u2019artiste et, pourtant, ce sont les m\u00e9canismes de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 contemporaine, que Bruno Fontana d\u00e9cortique photographie apr\u00e8s photographie \u00e0 travers ses mosa\u00efques, ses inventaires et ses typologies.
