L\u2019artiste teste les limites physiques du mat\u00e9riau (son affaissement lors de la cuisson) et joue sur les \u00e9quilibres entre vides et pleins cr\u00e9\u00e9s par les formes. Elle assemble des pi\u00e8ces diff\u00e9rentes pour construire ses sculptures, mais par ce processus d\u2019affaissement, le r\u00e9sultat final apr\u00e8s cuisson est toujours sujet \u00e0 l\u2019impr\u00e9vu. La couleur est une caract\u00e9ristique importante de cette production sculpturale, susceptible de susciter une r\u00e9action \u00e9motionnelle ou psychologique chez l\u2019observateur. Les motifs lin\u00e9aires de la surface accompagnent son regard le long des courbes, accentuant l\u2019aspect doux, l\u00e9ger et fluide des sculptures.\r\n\r\nL\u2019harmonie des sculptures de Simcha Even-Chen se construit \u00e0 travers l\u2019association des formes, couleurs et motifs g\u00e9om\u00e9triques. Une approche scientifique, issue de son exp\u00e9rience de biologiste, guide son processus de cr\u00e9ation. La sculptrice privil\u00e9gie l\u2019art abstrait car il stimule son esprit et son intellect ; l\u2019abstraction transforme les sculptures en des objets autonomes, libres de toute narration, soumis \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation de chaque spectateur \u00e0 travers le filtre de son imagination. L\u2019artiste synth\u00e9tise ainsi sa recherche artistique : \u00ab J'utilise les sculptures en c\u00e9ramique pour \u00e9tudier les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d'ambigu\u00eft\u00e9 et la dynamique des oppos\u00e9s. J'y parviens en explorant le rapport entre la masse, le volume et l'espace. Dans mes \u0153uvres, je traite des questions telles que les tensions entre les polarit\u00e9s, la fragmentation et la construction, ainsi que les illusions.<\/em>
