Sa s\u00e9rie\u00a0<em>Les Monstres<\/em>\u00a0puise autant dans les dessins d\u2019enfants, les cartoons et mangas que dans la sculpture africaine et tolt\u00e8que. Loin d\u2019\u00eatre effrayantes, ces cr\u00e9atures \u00e9voquent, avec leur surface dor\u00e9e, des statues de divinit\u00e9 qui procurent \u00e0 la fois protection et r\u00e9confort.\r\n\r\nSes sculptures sont cr\u00e9\u00e9es en bronze, un mat\u00e9riau qu\u2019il appr\u00e9cie \u00e0 la fois pour sa noblesse, sa versatilit\u00e9 et surtout, pour l\u2019aspect que prend sa surface une fois polie : r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissante comme un miroir. Cet aspect r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissant est un moyen d\u2019inclure le spectateur dans ses \u0153uvres, transformant ses sculptures en madeleines de Proust : \u00ab\u00a0<em>Mon but est de faire \u00e9merger chez celui qui regarde des images et des sentiments qui vont le ramener \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque de sa vie qui reste sans doute la plus cr\u00e9ative, \u00e9tonnante et effrayante : cet
