Wonder Woman is a work by contemporary artist Ahn Hyun-Ju.

The title of the work introduces a narrative, ordinarily absent from the artist's work. It is a reference to the famous eponymous comics character.

Ann Hyun-Ju's work bears the mark of her training in both painting and sculpture. The artist paints onto three-dimensional aluminum supports and occasionally goes beyond the traditional limits of the stretcher (square or rectangular) to explore new shapes. Experimentation is at the very heart of her approach and is a part of every aspect of her craft: supports, shapes, materials (she mixes pigments together with acrylic paints), color association… her abstract paintings, of which one can guess an influence of 1960s and 1970s American minimalism, refutes any metaphorical language and all narrative intentions. They are a part of a pure aesthetic that the artist qualifies as follows: "What I am trying to do is translate my aesthetic ideas into a pictorial language."
