Tunnels, Vercors is a photograph by the French photographer Christophe Jacrot, from the series Vercors (France). The series illustrates some snowy landscapes in the French region of Vercors, near Lyon. Here the subject of the photograph is a snowy road passing across the mountain side. The natural environment covered in snow creates a dreamlike and mysterious atmosphere, accentuated by the absence of human beings. The succession of several plans also produce a mesmerizing effect.

For many years now, photographer Christophe Jacrot has been developing a project revolving around on bad weather conditions. Major urban areas have become his terrain of preference (NYC, Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong) but more recently the artist has been looking for natural landscapes such as Iceland or the Normandy coasts. The snowy landscapes have become his visual signature for more than one series; among these Vercors, from the famous French region.
