About the work :

The High Line is a painting by Franco-Japanese contemporary artist Lumi Mizutani. This small format painting executed with Japanese paint and India ink depicts some branches from a bamboo tree called Nandine known for its little red berries. This tree is typical of Asian countries where it is considered as sacred.

In her figurative paintings, the artist frequently pays tribute to Japan and its traditional landscapes, particularly those of Higashiyama-ku in Kyoto, also Ueno in Tokyo. Plum trees, Cherry trees, weeping willows…  trees and nature play a very important part in the artist's work.

This artwork is sold framed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
