Gazelle III is a sculpture by French contemporary artist Pierre Yermia.

This bronze sculpture represents a gazelle, a slim and elegant animal, which is sometimes used as a symbol of femininity. The finesse and the elegance of this animal are particularly represented here, especially those of the legs, paws and horns that, associated to the dynamic position of the animal, create a certain balance. This balance is the signature element of Pierre Yermia’s aesthetics.

The work of Pierre Yermia is characterized by a very particular way of representing human and animal figures. Whether they are isolated or group characters, standing or lying, bulls, birds or felines, the artist always create a representation by lengthening their proportions to reach a point of fragile balance. There is thus in his sculptures a tension between stability and lightness.
