Fleeing the city?

The exodus has already begun.

Urban dwellers, tired of living in confined spaces, are fleeing the big cities... In Other Tomorrows (Berlin), the artist, Guy Oberson, depicts a view of the German capital that he then blurs with an accumulation of vertical streaks: like the image of a possible future that is in the process of dissolving and ultimately disappearing.

With this work as a starting point, we have created a collection of paintings and photographs centered around the theme of leaving the city: from the very moment when the imagination is ignited (Lego-like building blocks that detach themselves from Parisian facades in the paintings of Guillaume Chansarel), to images representing the passing of time (buildings disappearing under the vegetation of Emanuel Schulze, or the abandoned interiors of Gina Soden).
