About the work :

Camellia IV  is a painting by Franco-Japanese contemporary artist Lumi Mizutani. This small sized painting, done in colour pigments and Indian ink, represents leaves, buds and a camellia flower that has hatched. Some of the camellia’s leaves blend in with the painting’s golden background whilst one of them is in shades of green. The delicacy of the lines and colours in this artwork gives a feeling of peacefulness.

In her figurative paintings, the artist frequently pays tribute to Japan and its traditional landscapes, particularly those of Higashiyama-ku in Kyoto, also Ueno in Tokyo. Plum trees, Cherry trees, weeping willows…  trees and nature play a very important part in the artist's work.

This artwork is sold framed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
