Be-formed is a wall sculpture in porcelain by contemporary artist Sharon Brill, from the new series “Emergence”. 

In this series, the artist has drawn her inspiration from the desert’s ground ruptured fractures, witness to relentless geological powers in action altering the landscape. This series differs from the artist’s previous works, she decided to fashion organic forms onto a vertical square wall mount. This gives the artwork a life that is in-between a sculpture and a painting. 

Based on drawings done in-situ around these phenomena, Sharon Brill uses pieces of cracked or fractured porcelain as her artwork’s starting point. Similar to the fractures, testifying to Earth’s invisible power, Sharon Brill's sculptures are a desire to show the hidden movement in the shape’s depth. This desire is a battle of opposing values: movement and silence, eruption and restraint, concealment and discovery.

Whilst demonstrating permanent tensions, these sculptures provide a calm and comfort for the artist who affirms: "I have a need, a passion, to create through the touch of hands and in a constant movement seeking with sensory intuition that expresses and echoes emotional inwardness. The contact with a substance soothes me and gives me vent to pent up forces and allows for new perspectives."
